Admission policies – CUIBA&T- The Academy of Talents
  1. Admission Criteria
  1. Non-discriminatory: The admission policy of CUIB A&T is determined by the school Governing Body. CUIB A&T is committed to helping each Pupil reach their “Best Personal Potentials” in a growth mindset culture.  The growth mindset culture stems from the belief that with practice, perseverance, and effort, kids have limitless potential to learn and grow. People operating in the growth mindset take on challenges with the understanding that making mistakes and failing are essential to growth. Accordingly,  in CUIB A&T, we value Parents who hold dear this growth mindset culture for their kids, namely wanting them to be the best versions of themselves, are ready to learn from their mistakes and see failure as a path to success. This is the process that we use in selecting pupils in CUIB A & T and Parents will be required to sign an engagement form that they will abide to this culture.
  2. Age of Learners for Admission into the different classes: The following are the different ages admitted in the different classes. This will be strictly followed especially for new applicants.
  • Nursery 1: 4 years
  • Nursery 2: 5 years
  • Class 1: 6 years
  • Class 2: 7 years
  • Class 3: 8 years
  • Class 4: 9 years
  • Class 5: 10 years
  • Class 6: 11 years
  1. Priority given to applicants: Priority shall be given to candidates who apply early enough and can meet the requirements of admission. Returning students should register latest August 15th of the New School Year.
  2. Growth Mindset Test: A Growth Mindset test shall be required to be taken by candidates who come from different schools. This is to enable the Admission board to know the class to place the candidate, their attitude towards learning and their ability to embrace challenges and failures as essential to growth. Candidates shall be required to respect the decision of the Admission Board after the Growth Mindset Test.
